Hilo retorcido sobre soga, ensamblado de fibras naturales,y trenzado · Corn husks, chaguar fibers, llama wool and jute · 120x120 cm · 2026

Inti is a contemporary interpretation of the Andean solar deity, conceived through the language of textile art and the material memory of the land. The work revisits elements associated with the ancestral worldviews of Andean peoples, in which the sun represents not only the source of life, but also the origin of time, fertility, community organization, and continuity between generations.
The corn husks arranged radially evoke the sun’s rays while simultaneously establishing a direct connection with the earth, harvest, and productive cycles that have historically sustained Andean communities. Corn appears here as a symbol of abundance, nourishment, and reciprocity with nature, becoming a material extension of the solar energy that gives rise to life.
